West Coast violinist Kimberlee Dray meets Slovakian pianist Peter Fancovic in New York City to rehearse. The duo truly represents the fusion of East and West, characterizing their program spanning Prokofiev to Gershwin. While Peter earned his Master’s of Music in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, Kimberlee studied under famed Soviet violinist Nina Beilina. The merging of cultures informs their collaboration, making this recital of Soviet and American repertoire a particularly rewarding adventure as evidence of the power of music to unite cultures and people.
An active recitalist, Kimberlee has performed across the United States and Peter is a much sought after soloist and collaborator, having performed in venues such as Concertgebouw, with Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional de Cuba and many others.
